What is the Gentle Lase Pro treatment like?
Laser energy is delivered through a small hand-piece operated by your practitioner. The laser delivers an intense beam of light, which is absorbed by the skin and converted to heat. The heat is then absorbed by the cells being targeted, while the surrounding tissue remains unaffected. Your skin may become pink immediately following the procedure; typically, this can last anywhere from a few minutes to several hours after procedure.
Are there any side effects?
All treatment results are specific to the individual, however most procedures have low risk of adverse side effects. I offer a FREE consultation to talk about these.
Can anyone have laser?
While most people are suited to laser hair reduction, those that have white or grey hair are not. The reason? The laser simply cannot pick up those hair colours, it’s attracted to dark pigment.
Are there any precautions I should take throughout my treatment process?
You will discuss your specific needs with me before starting Gentle Lase Pro treatments, but there are a few precautions you’ll need to take. Avoid sun exposure at least two weeks before treatment. Do not bleach, pluck or wax four to six weeks before and after treatment. Wait until your tan fades before beginning treatment.
How long do Gentle Pro Treatments take, and how many treatments will I require?
Treatment times may vary depending on individuals’ specific needs, but can usually be performed in less than 15 minutes. You’ll want to discuss your specific needs with me to determine how many treatments you will require.
Are the treatments painful?
I have a Cryo-Jet fitted to my laser machine which delivers high-performance cryogenically chilled air to super-cool the skin to make a dramatic difference to the comfort level of treatments making it the most comfortable laser on the market. You will experience no downtime and large areas can be treated quickly and effectively due to our larger spot size options.
